- Submission Data: Weekly team metrics and scores submitted through the platform, including attendance records, referral counts, and other BNI-related activities.
- Chapter Information: Chapter name, timezone, team rosters, and configuration settings.
- Waitlist Data: Email, chapter name, and region if you join our waitlist.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use collected data to:
- Authenticate you and manage your account
- Provide the gamification and scoring features of ChapterOS
- Calculate points, penalties, and leaderboard rankings
- Send notifications about your chapter's activity

4. Cookies & Sessions
ChapterOS uses session cookies to maintain your authenticated state. These cookies are essential for the service to function and are stored in our self-hosted database. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or analytics services.

We do not sell your data. Your data is shared only with:
- Google: For authentication purposes only, via Google OAuth.
- Your Chapter's Admins: Chapter administrators can view submission data and team rosters within their chapter.
6. Data Storage & Security
All data is stored in a self-hosted PostgreSQL database with row-level security policies enforcing strict tenant isolation between chapters. We use encrypted connections and follow industry-standard security practices.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Export your data in a machine-readable format

8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Submission data is retained for historical leaderboard purposes. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
